Frankinscense

Frankinscense has been called the “King of essential oils.
This bar is made with pure therapeutic grade Frankinscense only.

Frankinscense is the King, in that it is very rare and has many therapeutic benefits. It is naturally antibacterial. It has a woodsy, spicy, earthy calming aroma and has been used in churches and in spiritual practices for thousands of years. 

 I originally made this bar to go with the Holiday Collection, since Frankinscense was one of the three gifts given by the Lord Baby Jesus as a birthday gift from the Magi / Three Kings. So if it was given by a king to a king, of course it is held in high royal regard for its purity, rarity, and spiritual symbolism..

The vast majority of Frankincense is harvested in Somalia from the resin of the Boswelia tree. Frankincense miners spend all day in the heat, climbing up and chipping at trees to harvest out the Frankincense. 

Then the women of the village spend all day sifting through buckets of Frankinscense and picking out any imperfections or materials to make sure the resin is pure.
Harvesting the Frankinscense is not easy, and is the livelihood of the families in the communities in Somalia. 

This bar is made with gold mica colorant. It is made from my usual organic base containing pure organic Coconut Oil, Safflower Oil, and Palm Oil.
